One of BiOWiSH agronomy products modes of action is to stimulate microbial activity in the soil. How does this affect soil carbon levels?
BiOWiSH Enhanced Efficiency Fertilizers are not intended as microbial soil inoculations. Rather, BiOWiSH Bacillus form endophytic associations with host plants and exist within plant root tissues to facilitate the production of exudates. This results in a shift in functional diversity in rhizosphere microbial communities towards plant growth-promoting bacteria (PGPB), but does not drive an overall increase in rhizosphere microbial abundance. As a consequence, the addition of BiOWiSH® does not drive appreciable differences in soil carbon levels through microbial proliferation.
